Mubarak (Barak)'s original training in Dorn Therapy was completed in 2005. Barak upgraded his level of Dorn Therapy qualifications to Advanced Level Dorn Therapy in 2007.
In 2009 he undertook additional training in Traditional Ayurveda treatment for musculoskeletal (Paramparica Ayurveda Waidda) issues. In 2012 he completed his doctorate in Alternative Medicines as recognised by the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines. In 2014 Barak successfully passed the examination as a Traditional Ayurveda practitioner in Sri Lanka. He is waiting upon the results of further panel assessments to obtain his doctorate in Traditional Ayurveda medical system in Sri Lanka.
Since his first visit to Australia in 2016, Barak dreamed of opening his Painaway Therapy Clinic in Australia. In 2019 Barak relocated to Australia as a permanent resident after years living between Australia and Sri Lanka and opened his first Australian-based clinics in Mudgeeraba, Gold Coast.
